A Special Post~

I received this fun little package all the way from England!
I was the lucky winner on Susie's
Pin-it Blog Hop.
It has given me a lot of ideas of
new projects to make,
and I love the Merry cushion,
but I hate to cut into them!

Thank you, Susie!

I think I will enjoy their cuteness as they are for now.....

There is a little guy who has become a new big brother.
I plan to take this fabric and create a bag
just for him.....

September in a Lovely Year of Finishes~

I am really glad Katie Q pointed me in this direction.
Melissa and Shanna's monthly project has been a great motivator
to get projects finished!

This month I am happy to have my Dreamy quilt done!

I am happy with the scrappy back and really like the record it provides.
It will help me to remember what fabrics were in the line.

I tried washing and drying the quilt once I finished the binding.
It really makes the "Sticky Bun" quilting pattern show up!

This will be a bright spot on cloudy winter days.

I hope you stop by and check out the other great finishes.....

Work In Progress...Getting Closer~

Right before I left on my trip I found out that my favorite Long-arm Quilters
could do a top for me while I was in Oregon.

Since I always worry about mailing large pieces, I decided to take advantage
of her willingness!
The back was finally finished two hours before the jet left.

This is the first scrappy back I have ever done, and it was a learning experience.
It has at least one sample of every fabric in the Good Morning line!
I kind of love that...

June and John did a fantastic job (as usual) lining me up and making their
stitches look fantastic.
Now I just have to finish the binding.....

A Lovely Year of Finishes~

Remember the Dreamy quilt top?
I really want it finished..
One project finished so I can start something new.

So, in September I am making that my goal.
To complete the Dreamy quilt.....
