Dreamy Finish~

Quilted and Bound!

Whoop, whoop and happy dancin'!

You might remember this picture taken in March
of my project for the Stitch Me Up Blog Hop.

Now, the background piece is more than a top--
it is a finished quilt!

All of the fabrics are part of
Mama Said Sew collection by Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics.

The pattern is a free project sheet,

I made the blocks smaller for this version
(using this pattern for several projects ;-) which I will write about later)
and used sashing to break up the busy--ness and details.

I really love the sewing and quilting definitions
along with the quilt names used
in this fabric line!

Two Charm Packs were used, plus yardage for the borders/sashes
to complete the top.
I first spotted this fabric in a wonderful little shop,
my friend, Tammy, and I discovered
in Boulder City, Nevada.

For a challenge, I machine-quilted the piece.
It went much better than I expected,
and I may have enjoyed working on a small quilt.

We still had a little ice on the pond when
I finished the quilt,
but the sunshine was glorious!

Thanks for stopping by!

Finished Quilty Bags~

I really like to carry things in a bag.
Everything is contained,
and ready to roll when I head out the door.

But bags are especially nice if they fun as well as functional...
And comfortable..
And closable..

I have been playing around with different bags and started making these Quilty Bags.
They are like cozy, little quilts,
with cotton batting sandwiched between cotton layers.

While they are soft and flexible,
the bags have enough structure to stand alone and remain
open for easy use!

I am seriously liking them!

I hope my friend enjoys her's when it arrives in the mail.....

Welcome to the Creative Side~

Hello!
Welcome to Forget-Me-Not Stitches.

Why is there another page?

As some of you may know, I created a blog called Dexter Days where I share things about our part of the world...with bits and pieces that bounce through it.

But, since not everyone who reads DD is interested in sewing
or crafting or building or blog hopping, I thought I should create another page to the blog.
Just like we all have different parts
to our lives ;0) !

This is the creative, make it page.
I hope you will enjoy your time here as well as

Thanks for stopping by.....
